Agustín Canapino ocupó el 16º puesto en el primer test de Alabama
A pesar de un trompo, el arrecifeño pudo continuar desarrollando su labor en la pista de Alabama tras chequear que el auto no presentara deficiencias por el incidente y así culminar la sesión ubicado a 0s8368 de Josef Newgarden, quien con un Dallara Chevrolet de Team Penske encabezó las posiciones con 1m06s7045.
Luego se encolumnaron el mexicano Patricio O’Ward (Arrow McLaren), su compañero Will Power, Colton Herta (Andretti Global W/ Curb-Agajanian), Christian Lundgaard (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing), Romain Grosjean (compañero de Canapino que giró a 0s2594 de Newgarden), Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing), Marcus Armstrong (Chip Ganassi Racing) y Scott McLaughlin (Team Penske).
